Club Reports: Nexus Radio Lounge, Sirius/XM Launch Party

It's Miami Music Week again, that time of the year when Winter Music Conference teams up with Ultra Music Festival and there are also hundreds of electronic music events around Miami and Miami Beach. Every DJ in the world is seemingly here!

Began this year's adventures at Drinkhouse on SR A1A in South Beach.
The event brought to us by Nexus Radio, an internet radio station. They would be broadcasting the event all day including on-air interviews with DJ's dropping by such as Paul Oakenfold and DallasK.
When I arrived DJ duo Jordano & Caprietto (USA) were playing, although they were standing in reverse order, lol!
Decent crowd of mostly industry insiders and friends in the club.
The Philadelphia-based due consists of Tommy Caprietto and Christiano Jordano and they were playing a mostly House set.
Everyone was playing 30-minute sets and DJ Dark Intensity (USA) was up next!
No one was actually dancing per se but plenty of dancing-in-place to his EDM beat!
DJ Mag readers voted DJ Lost Frequencies (B) the No. 26 DJ in the world!
DJ Alan Walker (N) passing through for an interview.

Lost Frequencies' set was a mix of EDM and House.
Alan Walker posing with Capretto & Jordano.
I liked the rapid pace of the show and DJ Fenix (RUS) was up next.
Really great vibe in the room!
DJ Icey (USA) played here last year during our visit and he plays here again tonight (Friday)!
House music all day long!
Blog-favorites Chocolate Puma (NL) up next!
Always in a great mood!
Although the crowd kind of thinned during their set.
And the show would end with an EDM set from Throttle (AUS).
Day turned into night and my next stop was the Faena Theater further north on Collins Avenue.
An invited guest of Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for their launch party for new channel "Diplo's Revolution".
Opening set from DJ Kandy (USA).
The early crowd.
Though things picked up a bit for his Heavy Bass set.
Described as the "Godfather of Persian House", DJ Valentino Kahn (USA) mixing Heavy Bass, Dubstep & EDM.
Besides complimentary admission, invited guests also had access to open bars!
Of course he did his biggest hit "Deep Down Low".
Good stuff that brought a few roars from the crowd.
Local favorites GTA (USA) up on stage next.
Their set was mostly EDM as well.
And it was finally beginning to get a bit more crowded in the venue.
The last set I stuck around for was from MK.
MK is Marc Kinchen (GB).
With an early morning trip to the Bahamas planned, I sadly could not stay any later so I missed Diplo (USA) himself!
But free drinks fueled activity on the dance floor!
And a good time was had by all!
