The most interesting piece of High Line is this long straight Section 2 adjacent to Exposition Park aka the Food Truck Park. |
When it first opened they had numerous benches under it but these have been removed in favor of seating on the planter walls. |
It's so you can go up there and search far and wide for nightlife!
ReplyDeleteThat particular stretch there in photo #2 is the WORST on crowded days. Why on Earth would they then limit the flow? No sure I'm following or liking the logic with this part of the Disney Springs project..... Guess we'll have to see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be great if we were to learn that access to the highline upper levels was cancelled due to fears of potential issues from guests partying late at night from clubs and nightlife?
ReplyDeleteJeff, the High Line takes up space that was formally there. It's possible to walk under the High Line area but people generally don't. So it has gotten narrower.
ReplyDeleteFN, not sure what the fears or code issues were that led to cancellation of using the upper deck, if it's actually cancelled. No doubt someone could fall off or throw drinks down but gee, that could happen anywhere in DTD that has an upper deck. So I'm not sure what's up.
