What I would like to understand is this- all these places with BARS and music are being built... what was the Island before..... places with lots of "BARS" and music.....
Why aren't you people waking up. You know people want to dance, party and drink from 11:00 pm-2:00 am. P.S. I guess you want City Walk to get all the party people.
OH NO! I hate Asian food! Won't even be able to enjoy a dinner in the former Mannequins building while recalling all the fun and good times experienced in that space at one time.... :(
I have no issue with restaurants turning into night clubs. Dedicated night club venues suck from a business stand point simply because they are empty all day long.
Will there be dedicated dancing at any venues at night at DS? That will ultimately determine my final judgement of this project. Unfortunately it looks like they are going to miss the boat on having such activities in the former MDP location.
That will be one huge restaurant.
ReplyDeleteHuge!
ReplyDeleteAnd like you've always questioned, WHO is going to fill all these new restaurants/

ReplyDeleteYes I did say that openly....
ReplyDeleteThey're doing the same thing Universal is doing with City Walk, going restaurant crazy
ReplyDeleteI'll visit it when it first opens, food will be good, but will it last beyond 2 years.. I don't know, this isn't vegas.

ReplyDeleteLet's not give City Walk all the credit, they only have 1.5 night clubs (Red Coconut sort of counts). Aside from the Groove, CW is all restaurants.

"because they are empty all day long" Your measure of profitability is incorrect.
ReplyDeleteHmm doesn't look the kind of place that will have entertainment/music?
ReplyDeleteSo I guess the revolving dance floor will be gone?
The new amphitheater opens Friday. Article tomorrow (Wednesday).
