Club Report: Platforms (Ocala)

Once located elsewhere as part of the Ocala Entertainment Complex along with Country music venue Urban Cowboy, dance club Platforms has relocated to a new home northeast of Ocala along Jacksonville Road.

Checking out the place last night because of the great DJ line-up including DJ KJ of K5 (USA).

The large dance floor was more on the empty side at the beginning of the evening.  There was actually a of people in here but they were standing on both sides of the floor adjacent the club's long bars.

But the floor did become more populated as midnight approached.

Coming on around 12:30am, Orlando's DJ Icey (USA)!

Some clubbers just stood and watched.

While more took a more active approach!

The music a mix of mostly Breakbeats and some Old Skool dance!

Everybody down on the floor!

Orlando was definitely represented last night!

DJ Icey posing with what he called his Ocala National Forest t-shirt featuring a squirrel wearing a golden acorn!  After the show, Icey reminisced to Save Pleasure Island Blog about his days visiting Mannequins, 8TRAX and BET Soundstage at Pleasure Island!

And at Platforms in Ocala last night, a good time was had by all!
