One never knows what one is going to find when one crosses that bridge to Pleasure Island! But we begin with a new "Walkway To Marketplace" sign. |
We have Skycam views of the Island taken this weekend beginning with this look at the parcel formerly occupied by Comedy Warehouse, Laffers Cantina and part of Celebration Plaza. |
Mannequins stands in all its glory. Apricot Lane & PI Live Bar, never more. | |
Fuego closed last Monday night. The demolition wall that used to pass behind it now passes in front of it. |
This past Friday Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit with Orange County to demolish it. |
A reminder for the last person to leave the Island to...please turn out the lights. |
Such a senseless waste of an amazing night time wonderland
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the update. Pretty soon the only thing left to remove will be the Pleasure Island signs themselves. When do the next guest maps launch? I wouldn't be surprised if the name is officially retired at that time.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pathetic shame, when you think about what fun it was ten years ago.
ReplyDeletePlease, rethink and fix up Mannequines and 8Trax, and reopen the other night clubs.
From one of the many, many Save Pleasureisland people.
So much has changed these past few years, it would be really interesting to see a before and after post. Sonething just to show the scope of how badly they destroyed this island.
ReplyDeleteA moment of silence, please, for the Church of Our Lady of Poor Judgment.
ReplyDeleteDisney never admits to making a mistake because Disney never makes mistakes. Remember that.
