EDC Update: Third Price Increase Taken

< Pictured at Electric Daisy Carnival - Orlando last year, DJ Morgan Page (USA) returns again this year, performing on Saturday of the 2-day/night event!

Amid brisk sales and an expected sellout, EDC raised their prices for the third time last night for General Admission tickets while VIP tickets remained steady. According to organizer JeffHTG, over 40,000 tickets have been sold and their agreement with the city of Orlando caps sales at 50,000 (25,000 per day). This will be the largest EDM event ever in O-Town!  The Blog has been following pricing since tickets first went on sale:
2-DAY GENERAL ADMISSION: $136.90 > $147.10 > $163.40 > $173.60
1-DAY GENERAL ADMISSION: $89.40 > $94.50 > $99.60
2-DAY VIP: $280.60 (no changes)
1-DAY VIP: $167.00 (no changes)
Prices shown include Ticketmaster fees.
The 2-day/night event takes place on November 9-10.

  2. Not at all in a capitalistic society. Supply & Demand at work. When things become scarce, their value rises and the price to obtain them goes up.

  3. funny IF gas was to jump when a hurricane came it's called price gouging. or the price of lumber! but this is not? HMMM

  4. In a completely free society the price of gas (or generators) should increase sharply in front of a hurricane so that supply equals demand. There are public policy reasons (and politics) that governments have put laws into place that limit such prices increases.
