The website
TBO.com, owned by the
Tampa Tribune, has published an article about the new
Splitsville upscale entertainment complex under constuction at
Downtown Disney West Side. The article includes a piece of concept art of how the exterior is going to look and it's way different than what's been published previously. The art and article can be found
here. Thanks to our roving reporter Thommy for this info!
It will be interesting to see how this blends in with future development at Downtown Disney. I'm looking at the architectural renderings as a potential window into the future for that part of the area.
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about this. It will be great having this sort of entertainment there and from what I know of other the Splitsville locations, this seems like a great fit.
ReplyDeleteTwo things:
ReplyDeleteThe mention of "working with Disney" and repeated references to being "family-friendly" make me more worried than ever that this outlet won't be age-restricted. I fear the "dance club" aspect will turn into school-age kids jumping around to the Electric Slide.
And breakfast??? A bowling alley/nightclub that serves breakfast? Does anything else on West Side open that early?
Does anyone serve breakfast anywhere in downtown disney?
ReplyDeleteAnon, I can't think of any place at DTD that serves breakfast. Did the McDonald's that used to be there even serve breakfast? I don't recall.
ReplyDelete71, that concerns me as well although having a bar and that outdoor patio upstairs seems to hint at adult socializing....without kids. But still, very few details.
I think Puck's at the Marketplace does.
ReplyDeleteEarl also has breakfast offerings....
