Club Reports: 180 Grey Goose Lounge, Bliss Ultra Lounge, Independent Bar

Had not been out to 180 Grey Goose Lounge since the weather was still cool and space heaters dotted the outdoor viewing area. Had always wondered how the place was going to deal with heat and humidity.

Well for one thing they've brought indoors DJ John Campisano and his awesome House music mix. But he says that it more had to do with the threat of rain rather than just the heat and humidity outside.

And despite that wilting humidity, lots of people were outside enjoying the music and the view overlooking downtown Orlando. 180 refers to the view; it is located skytop in the northeast corner of Amway Center.
Inside was much more comfortable and no less crowded as the bar backdrop changed colors continuously. Lounge patrons are generally dressed upscale although nice jeans are also allowed.
Next stop Bliss Ultra Lounge for a couple drinks off their dollar menu which lasts until midnight. Long line outside to get in.

Saturday night means DJ Mickey Bono (BeatThrillerz, K5, RadioDanz.com, Florida Beat Radio, Party95.com, 1ClubFM.com) playing Top 40, Dance and House music. I don't understand why they keep messing around with the Saturday night format when Bono draws large crowds who are into his music format and jam the floor!

Like I said, jammed.

You can hear Mickey Bono's weekly "Seduction" mix show on those listed websites and on Soundcloud.

If it's Saturday night then somehow I'm going to end up at Independent Bar (dba Endent Bar until the sign gets fixed!)

DJ Smilin' Dan was in the booth pumping out 80's New Wave/Old Wave classics.

Like always the dance floor was completely full while the air was partly cloudy with a chance of haze!

And a good time was had by all including this bachelorette party enjoying the fun music!

  1. The person behind "Music For Life" (name withheld) is able to convince the owner of Bliss (also name withheld) that his event brings in the crowd every other week.

    I don't get it either.

  2. I am still standing by to see what will happen to PI with those new construction permits filled. But downtown ia great too.
