Guided tours of beautiful
Pleasure Island are now being offered. See the mulch and seed first hand, see the closed clubs. Stops include
Mannequins and
Comedy Warehouse. How do you get on this tour? All you have to do is get a job in
Downtown Disney! Rats! This new employee group had been camped out in the shade of the front entryway of
Mannequins when I arrived on the island and they were just leaving for the next stop on the tour. Had I arrived just a few minutes earlier I could have overheard the spiel they were giving to the newest CM's. I'm sure they were told the entire story about all the great things coming!
Interior light checks still going on now in all remaining clubs
ReplyDeleteYes, one of our sources quoting another source reports that a team of blue ID's were recently in Adventurers Club & 8TRAX doing a light check; as in "making sure all the lights still work."
ReplyDeleteWhat's not clear is whether this just happened last week or if this is the same event from a few weeks ago where someone left the outside lights of 8TRAX on for the first time in years.
specuulation and rumors

ReplyDeleteI think it was around the 1 year anniversary, I was at DTD near MDP and there was a tour stop where they talked about harley and the bold new vision bla bla bla. Sadly it seems they still do that. I wonder what they tell them now LOL

{MY OPINION}
ReplyDeleteto make you think Disney is doing something! and or the maintenance is doing this to justify they are needed????
{MY OPINION}
Hopefully these rumors are true, and yes three years is long enough.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that myself and many others would like the clubs reopend, and start the party!!
< observation>
ReplyDeleteI think they have cut maintenance guys. The one guy who was there during PI days we haven't seen for a very long time, hoping he just transfered and didn't get laid off. He was always a good source of info

By light checks, they must mean work-lights, as all entertainment related gear (lights, audio, video) has pretty much been removed.
ReplyDeleteLook for Reedy Creek permits to be filed, I'm pretty sure they have closed the buildings long enough that new certificates of occupancy, fire, etc would have to be issued.
good point, we should definitely watch the permits thread on wdwmagic
