Club Reports: Planet Hollywood, Pleasure Island, Atlantic Dance

Who says you can't have fun on a Wednesday night? Full house at Planet Hollywood this evening for DJ Tony Z (Atlantic Dance) spinning mostly Top 40 music for the diners. These two young ladies did not want to miss out on dancing with Rocky Balboa up on the PH dance floor!

Who says you can't have fun on beautiful Pleasure Island? These two young ladies were twirling to the music of Nicholas Marks and his gypsy guitar. Marks is one of two musical acts that still perform on Pleasure Island that date back to the inception of entertainment in the so-called PI ultra-lounge. This is located in the West End Plaza area, formerly Celebration Plaza.

Who says you can't have fun at Atlantic Dance Hall? DJ Talie (Motion, Celebrate Tonight, Stitch's Club 626) was on the boards and looking awesome but at least early in the evening when I was there, no one else was there to listen. There were no dancers to take a picture of! However, management was expecting it to be busy though later since the Sherwin-Williams convention was on property and crowds were to head over to ADH after their banquet. They even had the back bar open. Talie says that last Wednesday the club reached capacity of around 800 guests because of a different convention at the adjacent Swan & Dolphin hotels. And that's one of the unique things about ADH. It can be dead on a Saturday night yet jammed on a Wednesday night!

  2. Looks basically the same as the previous pics posted with more debris cleaned-up versus a lot more demolition. Motion not finished yet so nothing with RRBC yet.

  3. Hey KinBok, you said that Marks is one of two musical acts that still perform on Pleasure Island that date back to when the music started. Who is the second? Is Andre and his band, the guy with the didgeridoo, and the classical band with the lady singer who sings pop tunes still jamming the island?
