Here's something new....a dance party at Disney Quest! Their ad reads:
Come to Downtown Disney for a cyber celebration of New Year's Eve at DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park. Ring in the New Year with favorite games like Virtual Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters and CyberSpace Mountain. The party starts at 8:00 p.m. and goes until 1:00 a.m. Your night includes access to all DisneyQuest attractions and video games, a DJ Dance Party with a New Year's Eve countdown, party favors and a coupon for a personal pizza and soda at FoodQuest. Admission is $39 in advance, $45 at the door. Interesting that Disney seems willing to have a dance party right there in DTD. I read that as something encouraging. |
So excited to see what's going on at City Walk... we know Bret Michaels will be there...wonder if there will be any more surprises!! Damn Mouse....
ReplyDeleteMy cue sheet for this last Saturday Night at Red Coconut was mostly about announcing the NYE party. Bret is on the plaza stage. The NYE package includes admission to all the clubs for the night, "gourmet" buffet (and their catering people can really cook) and champagne toast at Midnight. From what I'm told, I'll actually be over in Universal Studios somewhere Dj'ing out in front of one of the attractions; should be interesting. Willie is Red Coconut, Aj will be in Pat O'Briens, not sure who's at The Groove.
ReplyDeleteBoth the China and Italy stage at Epcot will have two of the old Mannequins lighting techs at the helm of the controls... As always it should be a really great time.
ReplyDeleteChina, while it's DJ Dom will play a bit more on the top40 side, whereas Italy will be strictly techno/dance/house
DJ Smooth...Thanks for the info. We are definitley going to City Walk! Please let us know if you know where you are going to be and we will come say hello! GO CITY WALK!!!
ReplyDeleteI been to mostly all clubs over the past 8 years, and once i experienced Epcot on NYE, I never went back, But that's because i am 100% into the high energy dance music. DJ Mark Sanchez has a great Gig planned up to bring in 2011, He never fails to impress me, He sometimes plays at Suite B lounge in Downtown Orlando as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates everyone. NYE is important because it's a huge event and no one wants to spend that kind of money and end up somewhere they don't want to be!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know whats going on at HOB Nye?
ReplyDeleteThe website states: "101.1 WJRR Presents The Supervillains" beginning at 8:15pm.
ReplyDeleteEPCOT is a blast if you don't mind crowds, I went last year. The dance floors are fun and they bring in even more booze then EPCOT usually sells to accomadate the crowds. They do 2 firework shows (one special at midnight).
ReplyDeleteOne heads up don't plan on riding anything wait times and crowds are the most insane thing you'll ever see at the parks.
I never went to PI NYE! just never wanted to pay the price for NYE! oh well! can't now! really the only difference was there was food served same OLD music same old DJ!
ReplyDeleteI spent last NYE at Epcot, spent 80% of my time in China, the rest in Italy and getting drinks haha :-P Best New Year's Eve I ever had. I'm too young to say I saw PI in its heyday, but China's setup with Dominic reminded me A LOT of Mannequins at the tail end, complete with CO2. Only things missing were Dawn, Bobby, Gordo, and the rotating floor :-P
ReplyDeleteI'll be there again this year...mostly China, some Italy (which is also impressive)...
Andre Caram is performing at Epcot on the American Gardens Theater stage on NYE too! Check him out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates and comments everyone! It's shaping up to be a great NYE weather-wise! I apologize for bringing this cold weather back with me from up north!
