8TRAX fans will enjoy a few more photos we obtained from the inside of the defunct club. The third photo shows the extent to which unknown merchandise and literally
junk is being stored in there. You know, the place could be earning
Disney money. Didn't I read somewhere that revenue was down this past quarter?
so why is it that this person can get pictures of 8 TRAX but not Mannequins?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get some Mannequins photos too. Not sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat Photos!! Any suggestions on places to spend New Years Eve this year - since it does not look like 8-Trax will be ready by then?
ReplyDeleteEPCOT baby! DJ Dominique it China I believe!
ReplyDeleteAlso FYI at one time Curl was using 8-trax for storage but according to a Curl employee, that is no longer the case. Whatever is in there is being stored by Disney
Zulemara.... I've never been to EPCOT for New Years but I've heard it's a riot! Thanks for tip.....
ReplyDeleteI tried Citywalk last year... it was pretty much like going there any normal weekend night, except for the food and a slightly higher energy level.
ReplyDeleteBill, that's kind of how Pleasure Island was too on NYE. The Annual Pass cost about $65 and was good every night of the week except NYE. They then charged $99 for NYE and it was the same clubs, same DJ's but there was food. I never saw the value and never went to it.
ReplyDeleteZule, the DJ is Dominick Morrison and he'll be spinning House & Dance with great lighting effects outside China in EPCOT. DJ Mark Sanchez is doing similar in front of Italy.
Will have an article about this in December.
Come on guys the New Year is around the corner.
ReplyDeleteSo don't you think it's time to fix and reopen the clubs, and light PI up so every one can party and rock!!
P.S. When all you guys decide who's going to buy what, let's light everything up.
So we can Party!!
DJ Dominick is spinning @ epcot on NYE now I know where NOT to go thanks!
ReplyDeleteI will save a whole lot of money and a bad night!
Glad you won't be there. The music he plays is like Mannequins and it was incredible last year.
ReplyDeleteEPCOT ROCKS on NYE!!!!! What a night. I couldn't decide where to stay, either in China, or Italy, or the American Stage!!! The music and dancing was AWESOME at all 3 places. You have to get there early because the evening goes so quickly. The entire NYE Display was beautiful. I completely recommend it. And, you will bump into PI Fans there too. I always do.
ReplyDelete"Glad you won't be there. The music he plays is like Mannequins and it was incredible last year."
ReplyDeletehe does not play the GOOD mannequins music! thank you very much! I have been there @ mannequins when he was there and he plays the slower music not the upbeat you can dance to!
Does anyone know if the price is higher at EPCOT on NYE? Will annual pass holders be allowed in with the normal pass?
ReplyDeleteYes, annual passholders go in for free. A word of warning. Parking is UNBELIEVEABLE. Getting out is twice as UNBELIEVEABLE. But the entire experience is AWESOME!!!! Go and let us all know your views on it. I had a blast. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAnnual Passes with blackout dates will find December 31st to be one of them. Those purchasing tickets will find the price the same but DO buy your tickets sometime earlier so you can go right in. Don't plan on parking at the Boardwalk and entering via the International Gateway. Boardwalk parking is limited to those who are lodging there plus those who buy tickets to the NYE Party at Atlantic Dance Hall.
ReplyDeleteDominick plays what I would call "Dance" for the most part. If you want harder techno/House, Mark Sanchez at Italy plays more of that. Go to YouTube and enter EPCOT NEW YEARS EVE 2009 and you'll a good sampling of what to expect. It's VERY Mannequins!
All great advice and thanks everyone, for the heads up on parking! Cheers.....
ReplyDeleteagain DJ Dominick did NOT play anything worth dancing to when he was in Mannequins so i guess he has learned something new then! I know A lot that did NOT like him when he was in Mannequins!
ReplyDeleteKB... I just happen to think, do you mean that the lot across the street (behind the BP) will be off limits too?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I think that Dominick guy used to spin at a club up here that has now closed, and he was pretty good. I don't remember seeing him at Mannequins but then, I probably wasn't looking that hard and maybe I wasn't there when he was.
I see a theme with DJ Dominique!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand that THEME is I close clubs I spin in! because I scare people away because of my AWFUL music.
ReplyDeleteDominick was the Monday through Wednesday night DJ at Mannequins so most people would never have experienced him. We obviously have 1 hater on here so let's all move along now. Those that like House & Dance will like the incredible NYE show. The hater should stay home, having previously promised to not spend a nickle of his money at Disney anyway.
ReplyDeleteDominick did spin on Friday and or Saturday night when Pea Pod was out!
ReplyDeleteThree cheers King Bob!
