I have not been to DTD Wardrobe in a while but I am curious to know if they have surplused/destroyed the club themed costumes or if they are still hanging on the racks
that is up for debate. I don't believe they are still in wardrobe. CMs were told they were being shredded after closure, which is why many CMs never returned their costumes.
Just "where" the event would take place, if it takes place, remains to be seen. I hope to be able to report something within 2 weeks or so. I know there is a lot of pent up demand out there for a Mannequins-music style night.
How can it be called a "Mannequins" reunion without the revolving dance floor and steam? It wouldn't be the same however I would be up for hearing music that the DJ's at Mannequins played just so that we could dance and party again! Atlantic Dance would be okay if they stuck to one type of music - like the music at Mannequins.
Anon,I agree. It's impossible to duplicate Mannequins. As designed, it was one of the world's top dance clubs. A Mannequins Reunion would be about the DJ and the music. The event continues to look like a possibility but just not on Disney property.
Shouldn't we change the name of this blog to, "Bring Back Pleasure Island?"

ReplyDeleteAt least some of the costumes hit ebay... there's still an 8trax bartenders outfit and a female Mannequins top kicking around there.
