DS Update: Fatalities

There really have been relatively few retail fatalities at Disney Springs since the complex was inaugurated a few years ago. If we only count stores that opened as part of the Disney Springs revival and have subsequently closed, I count only four. Located on Pleasure Island right along Hill Street, Sound Lion was the first to fail.
The second was Apex by Sunglass Hut International. It technically became an Oakley store which is a brand owned by the same company and targets a younger demographic. Nonetheless, it closed.
Not pictured is the Vince Camuto woman's shoe store which was the third fatality and then a couple months ago Trophy Room bit the dust. There certainly have been other retail failings like this week's Curl by Sammy Duval store but it predates Disney Springs so we're not counting it.  We're also not counting the kiosks which change names more often than I change my underwear!
