Club Reports: Forbidden Lounge, STK, The Edison, Waterview Stage

Last night the Blog returned to its home base at Pleasure Island! We began the evening at Forbidden Lounge which is located upstairs in what used to be Mannequins.
The bar was busy.
But the famous revolving dance floor has apparently been hidden by that faux-floor and absolutely no one was dancing!
And that light wall ain't what it used to be either!  Moving on.
To STK, the steak house with a DJ!
DJ Luis (USA) in the booth last night playing Top 40.
The bar here too was busy.
The music here really more background to dining rather than for dancing.
Crossing West End Plaza from STK to The Edison.
Here we found DJ's John Campisano (USA) and Eric Draven (USA) in the booth.
When The Edison first opened they featured a rotation of live band, aerialist, soft-burlesque and DJ set. Under the current format an aerialist still appears occasionally but the entertainer can be a juggler, contortionist or hula-hoop dancer. Last night we got Eric the Tapper.
And a live band!
And the band got the dance floor occupied in no time with popular songs like Calvin Harris (GB) hit "We Found Love ft. Rihanna"(BDS) and Whitney Houston (USA) hit "I Want To Dance With Somebody".
The crowd here tends to be older and well-dressed since drink prices are upscale.
The rotating acts end at midnight and then it goes all DJ-set!
Not as crowded as we've seen previously but people were still streaming in when we departed.
OK, now over to the outdoor Waterview Stage which is located roughly where Rock'N'Roll Beach Club used to stand.
DJ Scott King (USA) was providing the music!
This is a family event so everyone is welcome!
The music a mix of Top 40 hits old and new!
DJ King had the Island bouncing again!
DJ's play here every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from10PM to 1AM.
Designed to provide some entertainment during Spring Break 2018, it was so successful they kept extending it and extending it until they finally decided to make it permanent!
And the temporary lighting rig they installed was replaced with this permanent one!
It was great to be back on Pleasure Island last night and a good time was had by all.
