We're so saddened to report the passing away of Derek Steplight, better known as the legendary DJ D-Xtreme (USA). The cause of death has not been announced. We first became acquainted with Derek after the Blog was created and the focus spread to reporting on electronic music DJ events. He's pictured above at "Leaders of the True School" at Firestone Live in 2013. |

Very sad.
Truly a a loss to the world, his soul was full of beats that he shared with the word to make our lives better for a breif period of time. Now we know what kind of music we will hear going through the pearl gates. Rest in beats my friend, thank you for all of the memories that we can and cannot remember. And thank you for the moments period, I look forward to seeing you on the next universal ride that costs just one life ticket, rest in beats my friend, J9
