PI Update: Late Night Disney Springs

Last night the Blog was out at Pleasure Island to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Late Night Disney Springs. Yes, one year ago the DJ parties at various venues on the Island began!
DJ Michael Wycoff (USA) has become the resident DJ of the event which takes place on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 10PM to 1AM.
The Island and Disney Springs overall pretty much died-out by midnight and this was envisioned to get adults to stay later.
It's been a success although this outdoor DJ dance party itself where Rock'n'Roll Beach Club used to stand has largely attracted teens and 20-somethings.
Spotted on the dance floor: Local partiers with the famed Eddy Maserati. Last year we did an article just about him here.
Another successful Late Night venture has been at The Edison.
DJ John Campisano (USA) was in the booth during our visit last night.
Guys, The Edison is where you'll find the girls!
DJ sets alternate with a trapeze artist and live band early and then it becomes an all-DJ set later with a Top 40 / Classic Hip Hop hits format.
Of course, The Edison back in the day used to be the power plant for the city of Disney Springs and you'll still find some of the old equipment in the complex.
Live band with vocalist playing mostly current Top 40.
Who says there's no dancing anymore on Pleasure Island?

 View from the top!
Fun times but be forewarned.....the drinks are expensive!
On the other side of West End Plaza is STK.
DJ Jay-R (USA) was delivering Top 40 to the diners.
The lounge was full but I've rarely seen anyone dancing in here.
OK, back over to the Waterview Stage for the DJ dance party!
A permanent lighting rig was installed last year following the continued extension of the DJ party. Originally this was going to be a Spring Break event through Easter weekend but then it was extended to Labor Day weekend and now indefinitely!
It's just plan fun!

Late Night Disney Springs is a success and a good time was had by all!
