PI Update: Checking In On The Island

Let's not let a little 'ole hurricane get in the way of visiting beautiful Pleasure Island.  Before it arrives, let's cross this bridge one more time!
Progress is moving quickly on Wine Bar George and the sign still says it's opening in 2017.
But I don't see that deadline being met as it's got a long way to go.
Side view from adjacent Raglan Road.
Savannah Bee Company still hasn't moved from its kiosk location at Riverboat Square to this Hill Street location where Sound Lion once stood. Just goes to show you how slow things move out here!
Ditto down here.  Seems to be no progress on the hidden speakeasy.
We now know the name Neverland Tunnels was scrapped.  This is located beneath the No. 5 Bridge and beneath West End Plaza.
Of course the big remaining project on the Island is The Edison Orlando.
Around back facing Village Lake.
Good front profile view from West End Plaza showing The Edison section to the far right in what was previously the Adventurers Club while the section on the far left is newly-built where BET Soundstage Club used to stand.
Of course this section is rumored to be a nightclub. If true, it would be a huge addition to options for adults staying at Walt Disney World!
No customers were spotted inside Erwin Pearl Jewelry during our visit.

Yes, Apex is converting to Oakley. Same company Luxottica.
Our sources indicate it will be a nightclub offering different forms of entertainment including DJ's.
