PI Update: Did The Mannequins Dance Floor End Up In A Bubble?

Back in March we posted news of a new "Walt Disney World History" Disney pin that featured Pleasure Island as it's theme.  The pin contained a little bubble with little bits of metal in it that supposedly came from Pleasure Island logo signs in the area.
And now comes word of a Mannequins pin that shows Mickey & Minnie on the revolving dance floor.  OK so far, but supposedly that little bubble contains slivers of wood from the dance floor! At least that's what I'm seeing on the internet. UPDATE: Good news! I purchased my own pin today and on the back it reads: "This pin contains a piece of the wall panel from behind the bar." The Mannequins dance floor is not in there! That means it could spin again some day!

Good news. Purchased my own pin today and on the back it reads: "This pin contains a piece of the wall panel from behind the bar." So the Mannequins floor is not in there!

And no one has said they've seen the floor, except in a dream. It is the Blog's position that the revolving dance floor was not removed but the floor of Morimoto Asia was built over the dance floor.

There was a photo of a heavy equipment machine inside the building, during renovations posted on this site. The floor would not have supported that.

If you look up, the steal catwalks that used to form the 3rd floor, are missing.
Again, the equipment needed to remove those, the turn table would not have supported the weight.

It's gone guys.. and it's not coming back.

so I see I am NOT thee only one who says the floor is GONE!
3 so far WHO can understand AND see that the floor has been gone!

"It is the Blog's position that the revolving dance floor was not removed but the floor of Morimoto Asia was built over the dance floor."

again this would not be possible too big of a gap to put tile floor seats and people that it would need to support

Well let's see this alleged photo of heavy construction equipment inside Mannequins as it was converted into the restaurant. I'd be happy to give it consideration.

For those not in the know, the technical staff at pleasure island, could not bring a small maintenance lift out onto the dance floor because in some sections it would not hold the weight.

That lift, weighed MUCH MUCH less than that heavy equipment you see in the photo.

Therefore, without doubt the floor has been removed in and filled in with with dirt / rock and likely a concrete pour was then done on top of that to finish out the new flooring in the building.

also I am sure NO way would Orange country let them build a floor with that much span with out support for the weight that will be ON the NEW floor all the time

Isn't it Osceola County? And yes, I know it is. Anon, you can give any number of reasons of why the floor isn't there, and you might be right, but unless you or someone you know were part of the construction team of Morimoto..just saying. I kind of like the idea of the floor still being there!

Anon at 10:55PM on July 6, that piece of construction equipment you linked to at http://savepleasureisland.blogspot.com/2015/02/pi-update-mannequins-disappearing-act.html is standing in that area between the inside stairs and the dance floor on solid ground. I don't get your point. It's not standing on the dance floor. I thought you were going to post something showing heavy equipment standing on the area where the dance floor was located.
