Club Reports: Ace Cafe, I-Bar, Vinyl Arts Bar

First visit to the newly opened Ace Cafe Orlando located where famed clubs The Edge and :08 (8 Seconds) once operated!
Arrived just before 11PM and was excited that there would be live music!
It's a large multi-level space with dining and bar areas.
The raised stage gives patrons all over the complex and good look at whoever is playing.
There are large bar areas on both main levels.
But the band never came on so I finally asked and was told they had already played! What? I guess that's great for the early crowd who can't stay out late but on a Saturday night to have your entertainment end before 11PM, that's not so great.

You know if it's at all possible on a Saturday night, I'm going to visit Independent Bar!
Just as it should be, DJ Indie John in the booth playing that Saturday night mix of 80's New Wave!
No more cover charge on Saturday nights!
The dance floor stayed active with young and old!
Spotted in the booth: Blog-favorite CJ with Lighting Tech Ernie.
Spotted in VIP: Jen & Craig
Always a fun time at I-Bar!
Now over to Vinyl Arts Bar which has become quite the place for different varieties of electronic dance music!
A DJ set from Rudiment (USA).
Arrived a little after midnight to find the club already packed!
With DJ Kimball Collins (USA) taking control promptly at 12:30AM!
And he wasted no time in delivering that Kimball sound that everyone was here for!
Largest crowd I've ever seen here at VAB!
Spotted in many corners: Patrick from Orlando Weekly operating with a real camera! You can see his pictures from last night here.
Spotted along the side: DJ Beni Hill with Tiffany
Spotted by the entrance: Amanda and Kris
Spotted at the bar: DJ Andy Hughes (USA) flanked by Lady V & Heather.
Spotted getting down: Pamela
Spotted on the dance floor: Stacey
Spotted on the dance floor: Dee & Bob
Spotted spinning at high speed: Kimberly
Kimball's brand of Progressive House is far different than the old school sets we hear at his AAHZ nights but no less exhilarating. And we're hoping to hear soon about the next edition of an AAHZ Reunion!
He had the club bouncing! I heard from many last night telling me about how Kimball's music has positively influenced their lives!
At least one song was described to me by someone as Electro Breaks and although I had never heard it before, it was amazing!
Spotted on the dance floor:  Adam
Spotted by the booth: Lady V with Glenda
Spotted looking serious in the foyer: DJ The Reverend with Wilson & Paul
Then, an already amazing show had an amazing end as he went 70's on us with an extended version of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love"! The song was one of the earliest to use a synthesizer to create sounds and was considered futuristic at the time it came out. It so fit in to last night's vibe!
Good thing that no one left early!  A good time was had by all!
