PI Update: What's New On The Island?

Let's cross this bridge one more time to beautiful Pleasure Island and check out what's going on!
Still don't know what this building once identified as Walt's or Walt's Place is going to be. We've previously posted roof pictures that would make one think that the interior could have some type of performance arena beneath it but this view taken yesterday shows a lot of interior pillars and structure so it's hard to say.  Our Island sources aren't saying either.
Front view of The Edison Orlando where construction continues to chug along.
Down beneath West End Plaza, the mysterious Neverland Tunnels project.
Another viewpoint.
No customers inside Erwin Pearl Jewelry, located at the Hub where PI Live Bar used to stand.. You know the Blog has previously predicted that this store would be the first of all the new post-PI shops to close. And Blog reader DJMadManRay sent me a link to a MiceChat article from noted columnist Kevin Yee in which he too predicts the same. Link.  Of course I don't think Disney is going to let it close anytime soon, even if they give it free rent.  But some day the Mouse will simply say it was a "pop-up store" that was never designed to be permanent.
Over at Waterview Stage, the concrete performance stage area has had pink carpet installed on it and these signs are posted for the "Nutcracker Sweet" by MAC Land of Dolls ballet-based shows will take place regularly here for a limited time with MAC Cosmetic samplings.
Christmas decorations are up!  Christmas music is playing!  Come on out and see it all for yourself!

Bob and everybody, have you heard anything about the "drone show" in the evening? I saw it on the news but haven't heard anything else about it..

Nevermind, answered my own question.. just found this on Screamscape..lol:

Disney Springs Additions - (11/21/16) According to Disney, they have scheduled their new Starbright Holidays aerial drone show to take place at Disney Springs twice nightly (7pm and 8:30pm) between now and Jan. 8, 2017. The show is only about 5 minutes long and takes place over the water between the backside of Disney Springs and the Saratoga Springs Resort.

Yes. Sources say there are two electronic walls for the drones. If a drone strays outside the inner wall a signal tells it to return to back inside the wall. If it continues waywardly and passes the outer wall, it will plunge into the water. The entire show is computer controlled. Those who were fortunate to view some test shows said that some of the shapes were easy to imagine, some not so clear.

Thanks Bob, appreciate the info. Sounds like something else I'm just not excited for at The Springs..
