EDC - Orlando Day 1

First weekend in November means it's time for Electric Daisy Carnival - Orlando!
Arrived around 3PM, beginning my adventures at the Neon Garden stage.
Last year the home of a giant Buddha, this year housed under a giant circus tent!
Friday night it was the Trance stage and I arrived just in time for Standerwick (GB). First time seeing him since ASOT 750 in Toronto last January!
Maybe because it was the only shady spot or maybe because Trance is experiencing a great resurgence, but even at this early hour the place was jammed! His selections included some Armin van Buuren & Gareth Emery!
Spotted on the dance floor: Aaron
Moving next door to the Circuit Grounds stage.
Massive stage located in McCracken Field in between the other two stages.
DJ Friction (GB) doing a fast 140 bpm set!
Teaching the youngsters about D&B!
This stage will go hardcore Bass on Saturday!
Back to the Neon Garden for more Trance from Heatbeat (RA)!
And the tent would stay jammed all night!
A new feature to EDCO this year is the Corona Electric Beach!
The pool bar at EDC!
12th Planet (USA) would play here later at night but DJ JSTJR (USA) was on during my visit.
Now this amazing new addition to EDC is thee place to hang out! Smirnoff House.
Former Pulse Nightclub DJ's Simon & Flawless blowing out the windows with House music!
The house stays packed so you got to arrive early for any favorite DJ you're wanting to see otherwise you ain't getting in!
Finally getting to the Kinetic Field main stage.
Impressive in the waning daylight!
Catching the tail-end of an EDM set from DJ duo EphWurd (USA).
Confetti explosion!
Local boy makes good. Graduate of Winter Springs High School, Borgeous (USA)!
Playing the song that brought him to fame, "Wildfire".
Spotted in VIP: Chely with DJ Willie (USA).
Spotted in VIP: Concert promoter Jaime Ann with DJ Dose (USA).
Just like Chuck E. Cheese, only with DJ's!
EDC girls. Check-mate!
As dusk set-in, the lights started to come on!
My understanding is Friday night was a sell-out for the first time ever and tonight is sold-out as well. If you don't have a ticket, check with EDC to confirm or check the secondary market.
Smirnoff House at night!
Round 2 of fast-moving D&B from Friction (GB).
Club going crazy!
Spotted inside: Phil
Spotted on the dance floor: Torque's MC Collaborator & DJ Circle K (USA).
Up close and personal, DJ Markus Schulz (D).
He began his Trance set by saying that this was just like playing in his living room with his closest friends!  It really was!
House DJ duo Chocolate Puma (NL) taking over at 8PM!
Back in the Neon Garden for Blog-favorite DJ Ferry Corsten (NL).
His Gouryella set of uplifting Trance dates back to his collaboration with Tiƫsto (NL) back in the early 2000's.
Spotted under the tent: Abe L.
Ending the night back at the main stage, arriving in time for The Chainsmokers (USA). Their set of course included last summer's hit "Don't Let Me Down" and current crossover hit "Closer", both which had the crowd singing the lyrics loudly and with passion!
Spotted in VIP: Orlando Entertainment News & Orlando Weekly photographer & DJ Smooth (USA).
Color-changing Kinetic Field main stage even more impressive at night!
Packed to the rafters under the electric sky!
No energy to dive back in there, closing set from a distance from Above & Beyond (GB).
Looked like Jono & Paavo in there!
At EDC-Orlando Day 1 last night, a good time was had by all!

Dj friction is not from Friction and Spice, seems like you caught that in the second pic. HE runs famous DnB label Shigun Audio

Oh, that's what I had read elsewhere.
