Remembering The Island Of Old

Save Pleasure Island Blog reader Steve has rummaged through his drawers to share with us several pieces of PI memorabilia he's been saving all these years.  But first, he shows off a couple pieces of the Adventurers Club building salvaged for him by a construction worker on the AC project before it was all hauled away!
Smoking was more popular back in the day and here are a couple of PI matchbooks!
CLICK TO ENLARGE Before club Motion there was the Fireworks Factory!
Very early Pleasure Island map.  Included on this map are Neon Armadillo Music Saloon (which later became BET Soundstage), XZFR Rockin' Rollerdrome (which later became Rock'n'Roll Beach Club) and Videopolis East (which later became Cage and then became 8TRAX).
And some various versions of PI ticket media. Old versions featured the Funmeister while more recent years featured the PI oval.  Big thanks to Steve for sharing this with us!!!
