CW Update: Jekyll & Hyde Club Rumor

When I checked the Blog's email yesterday afternoon my inbox was filled with messages from readers alerting me to a rumor posted on the Screamscape website that Jekyll & Hyde Club was coming to CityWalk. What! Everyone knows that Latin Quarter was closed earlier this year under the backstory that the owner of the name wasn't happy with LQ installing a Brazilian Churrascaria upstairs and supposedly giving CityWalk a 30-day ultimatum to either close it or quit using the LQ name. Thus, they closed it with the rumor that a Mexican restaurant named Don Quixote's was going in there. (Name later changed to Antojitos.)  And mind you, it still might be.  But the partial revealing of the rather Gothic looking facade to the renovated building has bred a rumor that this is no Mexican restaurant, this is going to be Jekyll & Hyde club! Jekyll & Hyde is a restaurant and bar operation in NYC that operates similarly to what was Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island!  So this possibility certainly has lit up the interest of AC fans!
Official chatter at CityWalk last night was that there is a Mexican restaurant coming. And not seen in these photos is a very Mexican-looking bell tower at the middle top of the facade. So we're not sure what is really happening.  Certainly if Universal wanted to stick yet another fist up the Mouse's ass, putting in Jekyll & Hyde would be one way to profitably do that!  Stay tuned!

If it's Jekyll and Hyde.. this one has been almost a good of a cover up as anything Uni's pulled off in a while. People have seen menu's and other items from the "new Latin" restaurant, even food testing for it has gone on...

Unless Uni are working with the Jekyll and Hyde people to pull off something completely new but with some kind of mexican theme? maybe everyone is right?

I'll put my money on it being a Mexican restaurant, as announced. And I'm hearing that contrary to original reports, there may be a DJ back in there on certain nights, just like they used to have at Latin Quarter.
