PI Update: Demolition Wall At 8TRAX!!

As the Disney Springs conversion takes place, no other website provides as much coverage as the Save Pleasure Island Blog.  We are beyond saving it of course but at least you'll know what's happening!
Last Thursday we showed that the so-called "Seed & Mulch" sector on Pleasure Island had been converted into the first construction staging area.  A construction wall has now been added and surrounds this former home to Motion and Rock'n'Roll Beach Club.
It's still possible to peek in and see a few of the pallets sitting there.
We've posted several times the Celebration Plaza construction wall that begins at the No. 4 Bridge from the West Side.
The wall used to end at the stairs behind Laffers Cantina.  It has now been extended!
We previously posted that Curl by Sammy Duval was to relocate last weekend to their new space in the Splitsville building.  They did.  And now the old Curl is behind the demolition wall!
But the wall continues even further.  Yikes!  It's surrounds 8TRAX too!!
And ends directly up against Mannequins!
And continues on the south side of Mannequins up to the Waterfront.
Remember that Mannequins, 8TRAX, Apricot Lane & the former Curl are all one building.  Is it possible that some of the building will be demolished and Mannequins remain?  We just don't know.
And a view from behind 8TRAX.  The end is near!

I'm going to hypervenalate if they touch Mannequins, lol! But I did think of something. The Pleasure Island sign will probably (HUGE MISTAKE in my book) change to The Landing or whatever it says in the concept art for the Disney Springs retirement village/outlet mall so a wall would probably need to go up around it for safety reasons while that is being done. The devils work continues....

First of all I agree with that comment.
Second It's pretty pathetic there will not be any more night life at P.I. for the adults.
Just think, City Walk will get all the night life and the money.
P.s. you all had your chance, you blew it.

Disney said there will be nightlife. I hope it's Mannequins.

But, Disney also considered " Celebrate Tonight" as nightlife... We know The Edison and Trader Joe's (Adventure Clubish) are coming, but let's see if that's what they are considering nightlife, or if there is more on our horizon...

Agree. My fears exactly.

Actually we don't know the The Edison and Trader Sams are coming. Smart money says to doubt that (Trader Sams would not work as a DTD Orlando venue). We honestly don't know anything that is coming, nothing has been formally announced.

71 is correct. Both names were on the logo boards we published previously but no actual names of who is coming has been announced yet. Maybe something will be announced at D23 but that convention has a history of disappointment.

Before PI cloed a group of us used to come from the UK about 3 times a year but now there's no nightlife there so don't bother. If Disney puts in something for us adults then we will be back otherwise we'll continue going to Disneyland Paris.

Trader Sam's is a very likely addition to Disney Springs, and according to Tom Staggs, head of Disney Parks, nightlife (of some sort) will be returning to the Landing.

Yes, he did post that on the Disney Parks Blog. There will be some adult nightlife at Disney Springs, we just don't know how Disney will define it.
