EDC Update: Getting Ready!

Electric Daisy Carnival - Orlando is finally upon us!

Following up on Tuesday's pics, construction continued Thursday afternoon at Tinker Field as everything is put into place for tomorrow's kickoff at 1pm.  Got to see them testing the flame throwers here at the kineticFIELD main stage where Tiësto (NL) will be closing it down tomorrow night and Armin van Buuren (NL) on Saturday night!

The carnival rides are in place too. They're included with admission.

The VIP area beside the main stage is in place.

Mostly a standing area, VIP also has some comfy sofas to lounge on, private bar service and.....

.....deluxe air conditioned and lighted bathrooms!  This is how the pro-Romney half lives!

No matter where you park, you go into the event is at the Northeast corner of the Citrus Bowl Stadium, with the actual entry at the corner of Church Street and Rio Grande Avenue.  You then pass through the queues before arriving at the security area above where you tickets are scanned and belongings searched. Be sure to read the EDC website about what you cannot bring in.

Lockers are available for rent this year for either 1 or 2 days.  Considering the hot days, you might consider storing an extra shirt.  Considering the cool nights, you might want to consider storing a jacket or sweatshirt.  There is no reentry at EDC so you can't go to your car.  Rent here.

The circuitGROUNDS stage was coming along nicely this afternoon.  DJ Borgore (IL) is the headliner here Friday night while Afrojack (NL) ends it on Saturday night!  This becomes the "Jacked" stage on Saturday as his entire "Jacked Tour" crew is performing including fellow Nederlander's Bobby Burns, Quintino, Sidney Samson, R3hab and Shermanology!

I got to hear them testing the neonGARDEN stage speakers today and they nearly blew out my eardrums!  Loco Dice (D) and Richie Hawtin (GB) will be performing here tomorrow among others.  I'm told Saturday is close to a sellout so get your tickets now if you haven't already!  For a list of DJ's performing, click here.
