HOB Faces Competition from BBK!

House of Blues at Downtown Disney West Side has long dominated the local Sunday night Dance scene around Orlando.  If you wanted to go out on a Sunday night to hear some EDM, that was the place you'd go!  Their Service Industry Night with free admission to anyone in any service related job has brought in the masses by the hundreds!  HOB has so-dominated the scene that few venues have even tried to offer any competition. Back in the PI days they usually beat even Mannequins on Sunday nights!

Well that may be changing!  B.B. King's Blues Club has decided to get into the Sunday night Dance business too with their new "Industry Night".  Beginning Sundays in June, their "Work Harder - Play Harder" night will feature local favorites DJ's Magic Mike (House of Blues, Antigua) and Jimmy Joslin (Vixen, Electric Daisy Carnival - Orlando, House of Blues) inside while DJ Jaymac (Antigua, XL106.7) spins outside on the patio.  A very interesting development that we will be checking out!  B.B. King's is located at Pointe Orlando. But that could their downfall since parking is not free while at Downtown Disney it certainly is!

I remember that from when Matrix and Metropolis were in business. Now though they no longer have cashiers. They have payment machines. You get a ticket when you come in and you put it in a machine BEFORE you return to your car. It tells you how much you owe and you feed it cash or pay with a credit card. It then validates your ticket which you insert into the gate at the exit, which lifts to let you out.
