The Dance Scene Has Exploded!

There's a new quarterly magazine that has premiered this year called Elektro.  Featuring pictures and stories of the world's leading DJ's and clubs, the fact this magazine even exists is testament the huge gains Electronic Dance Music has made in the few years since PI closed!  We're witnessing an entire generation make the switch to EDM from whatever they were listening to before.  And since there are so many niches within EDM (i.e. Trance, House, Dance, Electro, Breaks, Dubstep, Bass, Techno, Nu-Disco, Electronica, Downtempo, Industrial, etc; each with subdivisions within;), varying tastes are being satisfied.  Recall that one of the reasons this Blog was created because so many of my Mannequins friends kept asking where to go once Mannequins closed.  In 2008 it was difficult finding any club in Orlando playing an EDM format.  Now it's become difficult to find clubs not playing it! We've come a long way baby!  Available on magazine racks in the United States.

Are you able to tell how many readers you have in other countries?

While the Flag Counter does not post international flags, just States, it does count international hits. About 10% of new visitors to SAVE PLEASURE ISLAND are from outside the U.S. The leading countries are Canada, Great Britain and Germany. For spam (99% which you don't see), most comes from Russia!
