This Weekend In Techno Town

Thursday night at Senso Supperclub in downtown Orlando is DJ Boris (RUS). He's known for hard-driving House music. $10.
Heading out of Orlando, Saturday is the Autumn Music Festival in Lauderhill in Broward County.  Running from Noon until 10pm, more than 50 DJ's will be performing including a dozen from Orlando. The headliner is Bad Boy Bill. $20. Full details at here.

Also on Saturday night over at Port Canaveral, DJ Baby Anne joins DJ Trashy for a night of Breaks at Club V aboard the Victory Casino ship.  $10.  Ship sails promptly at 7pm so you must be on board well before then. According to the Mannequins fans Facebook page, there might be a bunch of fans there that night!
Back closer to home, a 2-day music festival called Orlando Calling is taking place on Saturday and Sunday bringing all types of different music to Orlando! Saturday brings The Killers, Kid Cudi, Less Than Jake and The Legendary JC's among others. Sunday will be jammed for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Doobie Brothers, Dwight Yoakam and Chris Issac, among others. This is taking place at Tinker Field and other areas surrounding the Citrus Bowl Stadium. $87.50 per day plus tax and fees; 2-day ticket $160 plus tax and fees.

Sunday seems to have the bigger names, IMO.

Dunno about Sunday having bigger names. Kid Rock is fine and Seger is a legend, but the Saturday threesome of Pixies/Raconteurs/Killers is pretty damn hard to beat.

Not sure about Trashy, but LOTS of good DJ's besides him will still be on board. Hoping for smooth seas!

Bill, lots of people telling me they're going Saturday for the Killers.

Another event not posted is Peter Murphy at Firestone on Saturday night.
