This Weekend In Techno Town

FRIDAY: You won't want to miss the action in Melbourne at club LevelZ as DJ Heavy Grinder joins local favorite DJ Jimmy Joslin (Vixen, HOB) and DJ Jennifer Marley (Power95.com) for a night of House and Electro! I don't recall her ever playing in central Florida. LevelZ is on US 192 just east of I-95. Doors open at 8pm. If you can't make it over, the event will be simulcast on new internet dance station Power95.com.

SATURDAY: Doors open to the public at 10pm for the new night club Heat in downtown Orlando. Located at 57 West Church Street near Antigua, the restaurant-turns-into-nightclub has promised a whole new downtown scene!
SUNDAY: Another huge local favorite is DJ Magic Mike who will be spinning for Service Industry Night at House of Blues. The place is always jammed but when it's a Monday holiday weekend, it is absolute bedlam in there! Doors open 10:27pm and anyone who works in any service job, not just the hospitality industry, gets in free. Bring a pay stub or business card. HOB is located in Downtown Disney West Side so come out early and visit the demolition taking place on beautiful Pleasure Island.

Hey Bob--just got this email today...has nothing to do with your post but I thought you might like this...

Exposé and Chris Cox have teamed up to take you BEYOND the Point of No Return!

Exposé started their musical journey in the mid 1980's, becoming the first group in history to have four top ten hits on their debut album ( "Point of No Return," "Come Go With Me," "Let Me Be the One" and the #1 Billboard Top 40 Hit, "Seasons Change"), surpassing records originally set by the Beatles and the Supremes!

"One of the first records I spun as a DJ was Exposé's Point of No Return! It's an honor to work with these incredible ladies!" said Chris. "I've been a fan since day one!"

It's no surprise, Exposé feels the same. "We've decided it's time to take action! What better way than teaming up with Chris Cox! We've been dancing to his music for years! He understands where we come from, and has the same commitment to dance music that we have had for more than two decades.

We feel the new 'Point of No Return,' along with some brand new music, including 'Shine On,' co-written by our own Ann Curless, will re-introduce us to our fans young and old! "

Exposé (Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless, and Gioia Bruno) has been touring since 2006 to sold-out crowds all over the country. "It's as if we never left. Everyone has an Exposé story! To our loyal fans: we are so grateful for the opportunity to take you to the Point of No Return once again!"

Appreciate the information about Exposé. A new dance version of "Point of No Return" would be awesome! And someone who could definitely produce it successfully is DJ Chris Cox. (not to be confused with the UK's Carl Cox) I look forward to hearing it! Thanks for sharing.
