Meanwhile Over at Universal

Kind of a gloomy day at Universal Orlando yesterday as heavy rains pushed out and gray skies hung around after. The Orlando Sentinel reported that hotel occupancy rates were at record levels during December thanks to the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter ride in Islands of Adventure. Disney finally has responded by making significant changes to their previously-announced Fantasyland expansion by announcing a Seven Dwarfs Mine Train indoor roller coaster. The competition is great for consumers!

This is that space at Universal CityWalk that I was talking about as the only remaining space there large enough for a club. That green section is only the front area of it. Currently used as storage, the space goes deep into that building which houses Pastamore on the lower level facing the opposite direction.Would love for them to open a new venue in here!

Hard to believe but it's almost Mardi Gras time again at Universal Studios again with a great lineup of mostly Saturday night bands coming. 60's fans have Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and the Beach Boys, 70's fans have KC & The Sunshine Band and The B-52's while fans of current Top 40 get Pitbull and Ne-Yo. And there are many more. CityWalk clubs always get packed following these concerts while Pleasure Island clubs remain.........empty.
