PI Update: Interior Shots

Motion

Mannequins

Rock'n'Roll Beach Club

BET Soundstage

Save Pleasure Island Blog reader Frank Nosalek of Jacksonville paid a visit to PI this past Sunday to get his own set of photos to remember the clubs by. He invited Blog readers to visit his website and view them. The beautiful afternoon in the 80s' led to perfect pictures. His camera quality also allowed him to peer into club windows that my point-and-shoot wouldn't do without a lot of glare. Readers, enjoy all the photos at:

Hmmmm...that must be an old photo of MDP since there's a mannequin in the shot.

Thanks for the pics. By the way, I love the eyeball shot in the BET picture!

fantastic pics! Btw the ticket booths did used to be train cars from ft wilderness, but they subsequently removed them and rebuilt a stationary one.

The Wikipedia article on Pleasure Island, of which I am a part-author, refers to the current PI ticket booths as having been actual cars on the FWRR.
